Marryoke
What is Marryoke?
The latest craze for people wanting to add a bit of fun to their wedding day and something for the guests to get involved with.
Marryoke is a trend within the wedding industry which involves participants miming and performing a song of their choice. The footage is usually shot on the wedding day and once filmed, the footage is edited together so that it appears as if the participants are performing the song themselves.
As you can guess, the phrase Marryoke is a play on the word karaoke due to their similarities; however a marryoke involves no actual singing from the participants as the participants singing is lip synced to the original artist in editing.
When filming a Marryoke we understand that certain things need to happen at certain times of the day so we work around these to ensure what we are doing does not hold any of these up. We find that filming for a Marryoke during the evening reception gets better results as everyone is more relaxed and up for having some fun!
Got a videographer already booked for filming your wedding but they don't do Marryoke's? Not a problem. We will work our filming around what they are doing so there is no disruption.
Below is an example of a Marryoke that we created for a wedding recently.
